AUSTRALIAN CAPITAL TERRITORY

#1 AUSTRALIA NATIONAL UNIVERSITY

ANU Chancellor's International Scholarship 

  • 25% or 50% fee waiver of tuition for entire study period

  • 200 scholarships on offer

  • Undergraduate and postgraduate courses

  • Selection is made on the basis of academic merit

  • No application required

  • Available for students commencing in 2023, 2024 and 2025

#1 THE UNIVERSITY OF SYDNEY

a) Vice Chancellor International Scholarship Scheme

  • $5,000 / $10,000 / $20,000 / $40,000

  • Awarded to exceptional international students holding an unconditional offer.

  • Applicable to undergraduate or postgraduate coursework students. 

  • Awarded for once during first year of commencement and not renewable

  • No application required. 

b) Sydney Scholars Awards

  • $6,000 for 1 year

c) Postgraduate Research Scholarship 

  • $35,629 yearly to study a master's by research of PhD

#2 UNIVERSITY OF NEW SOUTH WALES

a) Australia's Global University Award

  • $10,000 for one year

  • Applicable for undergraduate or postgraduate coursework degree 

  • Selection based on academic merit

b) International Scientia Coursework Scholarship

  • $10,000 per annum for up to 5 years paid as a stipend 

  • Applicable for undergraduate  coursework degree

  • Application required

c) Dr Vincent Lo Asia Undergraduate Scholarship

  • Offer 1: Full scholarship for the duration or degree 

  • Offer 2: $20,000 per annum

  • Applicable for undergraduate and postgraduate coursework degree

d) UNSW Global Academic Award

  • $10,000 for one year 

  • Students who successfully complete a UNSW Global Foundation Studies programme progressing to a bachelor's degree at UNSW.

  • No application required

e) UNSW Global Academic Award

  • $10,000 for one year 

  • Students who successfully complete a UNSW Global Foundation Studies programme progressing to a bachelor's degree at UNSW.

#3 THE UNIVERSITY OF TECHNOLOGY SYDNEY

a) UTS Vice-Chancellor’s International Undergraduate Scholarship 

  • Full tuition scholarship for the standard course duration of an undergraduate degree

  • Have an overall average of 85% 

  • Application required

b) Undergraduate Academic Excellence International Scholarship 

  • 25% tuition fees scholarship for the duration

  • No application required

#4 UNIVERSITY OF WESTERN SYDNEY

a) VC's Academic Excellence UG Scholarships

  • 50% for up to 3 years

  • ATAR 90

  • Applicable for undergraduate courses

  • No application required

b) Western Sydney International Scholarships

  • $3,000 / $6,000 per year for multiple years

  • All undergraduate courses except Doctor of Medicine

  • No application required

c) Vice-Chancellor's Academic Excellence Postgraduate Scholarships

  • 50% scholarship for the duration of the degree not exceeding two year

  • All postgraduate coursework degrees up to a maximum two years 

  • Postgraduate research degrees are excluded

  • a minimum GPA of 5.95 on a 7 point scale or equivalent in their completed most recent undergraduate degree

d) Western Sydney International Scholarships – Postgraduate

  • $6,000 per year contribution to tuition fees (up to a maximum two years)

  • $3,000 per year contribution to tuition fees (up to a maximum two years)

  • All postgraduate coursework degrees with a minimum one year and up to a maximum two year duration.

  • Higher degree research degrees are excluded

  • No application is necessary

#5 UNIVERSITY OF WOLLONGONG

a) University Excellence Scholarships

  • 30% tuition fee reduction for the minimum duration of an eligible course

  • Any undergraduate degree except  Doctor of Medicine, Nursing, Nutrition Science, Nutrition and Dietetics, Exercise Science, Exercise Science and Rehabilitation, Education, Social Work and Psychology

  • No application is required

 

b) UOW Postgraduate Academic Excellence Scholarships 

  • 30% tuition fee reduction for the minimum duration of an eligible course

  • Any postgraduate coursework degree *excluding Doctor of Medicine, Nutrition and Dietetics, Exercise Physiology, Teaching, Social Work and Psychology degrees

  • Unlimited number of scholarship

  • No application is required

 

VICTORIA

 

THE UNIVERSITY OF MELBOURNE

Melbourne International Undergraduate Scholarships

  • $10,000 in Year 1 or

  • 50% for a 3-year undergraduate degree or

  • 100% for a 3-year undergraduate degree

Excellent high school results:

  • at least three A* grades in GCE A Levels and an average result of at least 93% in the best three subjects

  • Overall 98% in an Australian foundation program

  • International Baccalaureate (IB) score of at least 42 (completed outside of Australia)

  • No application required. Students holding an offer will be automatically considered. 

Graduate Research Scholarships

  • 100% fee remission for up to 2 years for students undertaking a Masters by Research degree or up to 4 years for those taking a doctoral degree

  • Living allowance of $34,400 per year pro rata for up to 2 years for students undertaking a Masters by Research or up to 3.5 years for doctoral degree

  • Relocation grant of $3,000 for students moving from outside Australia

  • Overseas Student Health Cover (OSHC)

  • No application required

MONASH UNIVERSITY

Monash University International Merit Scholarship

  • Up to $50,000 ($10,000 per year) for the duration of studies. 

  • Achieved a minimum weighted average mark of 85. 

  • 31 scholarships offered each year for both undergraduate and postgraduate students. 

  • Not applicable for students studying Australian Year 12. 

  • Current students enrolled in the Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery (Honours) course or the Medical Science and Doctor of Medicine (MD) course must have completed and obtained results for at least four semesters.

  • Application required. Deadline varies based on intake. 

  • Only for students holding unconditional offers

Sir John Monash Scholarships for Excellence

  • Up to $40,000 ($10,000 per year) for a maximum of 4 years.

  • 10 scholarships a year. 

  • Open for students studying Australian Year 12 or International Baccalaureate in Australia.

  • ATAR of 98+ or equivalent. 

  • Automatic, no application required. 

Pharmacy International Undergraduate Merit Scholarship

  • 2 x 50% scholarship

  • 2 x 25% scholarship

  • Commencing undergraduate student in either the Bachelor of Pharmacy (Honours) or Bachelor of Pharmacy (Honours)/Master of Pharmacy at a Monash Campus in Australia.

  • No application required.

Faculty of Law International Asia Scholarship

  • 25% to 100% scholarship

  • An International student from China, Hong Kong, Malaysia, India, Singapore or Indonesia

  • Commencing Law student within the Faculty of Law who will undertake either the Bachelor of Laws (Honours) or LLB combined degree

  • This scholarship is awarded based on academic achievement

STEM Scholarship for South East Asia

  • The total value of the scholarship is AU$10,000, one-off payment

VU International VCE Scholarship

up to $12,000 towards the total tuition fees

Students who have completed VCE with a minimum of ATAR of 50

Automatic. No application required. 

Research Training Program (RTP) Stipend Scholarships – International

  • RTP Stipend Scholarships – International are awarded to graduate researchers on the basis of academic merit and research potential.

  • RTP Stipend Scholarship – International includes:

    • overseas student health cover

    • a living allowance of $33,000 per year (2023 rate)

    • an RTP Fee Offset Scholarship exempting the recipient from paying tuition fees.

 

LA TROBE UNIVERSITY

La Trobe International Scholarship

  • Up to 25% scholarship

  • Undergraduate and postgraduate coursework degrees

  • WAM 55 to 75+

  • No application required

La Trobe South East Asia Scholarship

  • 20% to 30% scholarship

  • Be a citizen of Cambodia, Indonesia, Malaysia, the Philippines or Vietnam.

Regional Campus Scholarship - International Students

  • One off $5,000 scholarship deduction from first semester fees

SWINBURNE UNIVERSITY OF TECHNOLOGY

Swinburne International Excellence Undergraduate Scholarship

  • Up to 30% scholarship for duration of course

  • Achieved an academic result of at least 60 per cent GPA Australian standard equivalent

  • Excluded courses: Bachelor of Nursing, Bachelor of Aviation and Piloting, Bachelor of Aviation and Piloting / Bachelor of Business (double degree) and one-year honours degrees.

Swinburne International Excellence Postgraduate Scholarship

  • Up to 30% scholarship for duration of course

  • Achieved an academic result of at least 60 per cent GPA Australian standard equivalent

  • Excluded courses: Master of Physiotherapy, Master of Dietetics, and Master of Occupational Therapy

George Swinburne Postgraduate STEM Scholarship

  • Up to 30% scholarship for duration of course

  • Achieved an academic result of at least 60 per cent GPA Australian standard equivalent

  • Applies to certain STEM programmes including Master of Data Science, Cybersecurity, Engineering Science, Financial Technologies, Information Technology, Biotechnology, Supply Chain Innovation, Business Information Systems and Construction Management 

SOUTH AUSTRALIA

UNIVERSITY OF ADELAIDE

Global Academic Excellence Scholarship (2021 - 2025)

  • Available for students commencing between 2021 and 2025

  • Tuition fee reduction of 50% for the duration of an undergraduate or postgraduate degree

  • Each faculty will award only 2 scholarships of 50% 

  • Minimum ATAR 98 for undergraduate programmes or GPA of 6.8 /7 for postgraduate coursework

  • No application required.

Global Citizens Scholarship

  • Available for students commencing between 2021 and 2025

  • Applicable to undergraduate and postgraduate coursework students

  • Tuition fee reduction of 15% to 30% for the duration of degree

  • For undergraduate studies:

    • Minimum ATAR 90: 30%

    • Minimum ATAR 80: 15% 

  • For postgraduate studies:

    • GPA of 6.0/7 : 30% scholarship

    • GPA of 5.0/7 : 15% scholarship

  • Available to students holding full or conditional offer.

UNIVERSITY OF SOUTH AUSTRALIA

Vice Chancellor's International Excellence Scholarship

  • 50% scholarship for up to 4 years of study

  • 15% scholarship for the duration of study

  • Have achieved the UniSA equivalent of a credit average (Grade Point Average (GPA) 5.0) or above in previous studies or have an offer conditional upon completion of an award with a Credit average

UQ International Excellence Scholarships

  • 25% reduction in tuition fees per semester for up to 4 years

  • Criteria:

    • international student 

    • high school leaver and have achieved an entry rank of 99

    • undergraduate student or postgraduate student and have achieved a GPA equivalent of 6.75 and above (on the UQ 7-point scale)

    • Received an unconditional offer from UQ

UQ Excellence Scholarships

  • $6,000 per year for up to 4 years 

  • All undergraduate study areas

  • Criteria:

    • ATAR 99

    • outstanding academic achievements as determined by the selection panel, or

    • a combination of outstanding academic excellence and significant leadership and/or community service achievements.

UQ Vice Chancellor's Scholarships

  • $12,000 per year up to 5 years

  • All undergraduate study areas

QUT Excellence Scholarship (Academic)

  • Valued at $30,000 each for study in any discipline for up to 3 years

  • For students who have graduated from an Australian high school of undertaken and Australian curriculum overseas

    • have achieved a minimum unadjusted ATAR of 98 or equivalent

    • have placed QUT as your first preference on your QTAC application.

  • $30,000 scholarship

Dean's Scholars Program (QUT Business School)

  • complete a QUT Bachelor of Business degree

  • receive a scholarship of $12,000 over 3 years

  • receive an automatic offer into honours

  • receive a further scholarship of $8,000 over the honours year

  • 50% scholarship for the duration of the degree
