#1 Hanze University of Applied Sciences

​

Hanze University of Applied Sciences, Groningen is the largest university of applied sciences in the northern Netherlands. In addition, they were the first university of applied sciences to found an international business school in the Netherlands. Moreover, they are the only large higher education institute in the country with an art academy and a conservatoire. 

​

Situated in the north of the Netherlands, Groningen is a young and vibrant student city, with half of its citizens under the age of 35. Groningen has a population of 202,747 with more than 50,000 students and boasts a picturesque and safe city centre, surrounded by relaxing countryside. Groningen was even elected best student city of the country in 2015 and 2016 (Elsevier). The map of the inner city of Groningen dates from the early Middle Ages and many old buildings in the centre still show Groningen's great history. The city is not only historically interesting, however, as it also has impressive modern architecture, excellent and affordable sports facilities as well as a nightlife that never sleeps.

#2 Holland International Study Centre

​

Holland International Study Centre has been preparing international students for English-taught degrees in Holland since 2013. It is location in the heart of Amsterdam. Students benefit from purpose-built classrooms, a riverside setting, proximity to Amsterdam Central station and panoramic views of the city.

 

The one-year International Foundation Year programme at Holland International Study Centre develops English language and academic knowledge, while helping students adapt to the Dutch education system. Students can progress to a range of English-taught degrees at one of the Dutch partner universities which ranked in the global top 200 (Times Higher Education World University Rankings 2019).

#3 Erasmus University Rotterdam

Erasmus University Rotterdam is a world-class research university. It is globally recognised for high-quality education and research, and it ranks 70th in the Times Higher Education World Rankings 2019. #4 Tilburg University

​

Tilburg University is a top 250 world university  and ranks 28th in the world for Business and Economics (Times Higher Education World University Rankings 2019) and is located in the south of Holland. The city is home to 200,000 residents and 28,000 students. As a relatively small city compared to Amsterdam and Rotterdam, Tilburg offers the perfect study environment as well as a lower cost of living.
