US Summer Schools

This summer INTO is offering a number of short-term university experience programs at Drew University, University
of South Florida, and Oregon State University.

DREW UNIVERSITY – SUMMER UNIVERSITY EXPERIENCE


The INTO Drew University Summer University Experience program is designed for international secondary students to sample college life at one of the best liberal arts universities in the US.

 

This three-week program, gives students the opportunity to study on Drew University’s campus just minutes outside of New York City. Participants will take
courses in a university classroom, meet and learn from Ivy League-educated professors, practice their English language skills with Americans and explore New York City and the surrounding areas.
 

Key program details:

  • Registration deadline: May 15, 2017

  • Program dates: July 9-29, 2017

  • Fees: $3,800 USD for students applying through agents and counselors. Includes program and activity fees,housing, all meals, health insurance and airport transfers

  • Students who successfully complete the Summer University Experience and then enroll in an INTO Drew University Pathway program will have the cost of the Summer University Experience deducted from their tuition.

To participate, students must:

  • Have an intermediate level of English writing, speaking and listening skills

  • Be between ages 15 and 18 years old, before July 9

  • Apply for and secure a US tourist visa

UNIVERSITY OF SOUTH FLORIDA – UNIVERSITY SUMMER EXPERIENCE


The INTO USF University Summer Experience program is designed for students between the ages of 14 and 18 with an intermediate level of English. Students can come to USF for either 2 or 4 weeks during the summer and will have the opportunity to tour the University of South Florida, INTO USF and the surrounding Tampa Bay area.

 

In addition, they will practice their English language skills while participating in language workshops, USF department visits, educational field trips, conversation partner meetings, and recreational events such as Florida’s award winning beaches and Disney World.
 

Key program details:

  • Program dates:

    • Session 1: June 25 - July 8

    • Session 2: July 9 - July 22

  • Registration deadline: May 25, 2017

  • Fees: $2,850 for each 2 week session.

  • Scholarships: Students who attend this program and later decide to enroll at USF for an undergraduate Pathway will automatically receive the maximum scholarship based on their English ability. For 1-semester Pathway programs, students will receive $6,000. Students who enroll in a 2-semester Pathway programs will receive a $10,000 scholarship.

To participate, students must:

  • Be able to speak and listen to English at an intermediate level

  • Be between ages 14 and 18 years old

  • Apply for and secure a US tourist visa (B-2 visitor visa or visa waiver)

OREGON STATE UNIVERSITY – SUMMER PROGRAMS


INTO Oregon State University is excited to announce two fantastic new summer programs: Summer Youth Experience and English + Culture. These two programs target students in high school (2nd-3rd year) and university (1st year), allowing them to experience OSU in the summer in hopes that they may enroll next recruitment year! The recommended application deadlines for these programs are 30 days before start date for program.
 

Summer Youth Experience
This program is designed for high school students, age 16 and up, to come for a short taster program at OSU. It is offered on a tourist B visa and is 18 days. Participants will develop their English conversation skills, as well as getting to know campus resources and support services, labs and facilities, and considering their major options. Of course, they’ll also have a great time exploring the natural beauty of Oregon, attending sporting events, volunteering in the community, attending festivals, shopping tax free, and more.

  • Session 1: July 13-31, 2017

  • Session 2: August 10-28, 2017


Priority application deadline:

  • June 1st for Session 1

  • July 1st for Session 2 (The recommended application deadlines for these programs are 30 days before start date for program)


Price: $3250


Scholarship offer: All participants are eligible to receive the Summer Exploration Scholarship if they enroll

English+ Culture
This program is designed for foreign university students who are looking for a short-term study program in the US during their summer break. It is an intensive English language program, offered on an F-1 visa, combined with volunteer activities, cultural experiences, and trips around Oregon.
